In November 8, Professor Zhang Weiwei and Assistant Professors Pan Weilin, Sheng Wenqing participated in the 2013 CASS Forum on China’s Development Road in the International Perspective. This conference, sponsored by the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, was co-organized by the CASS Institute of Information Studies and the CASS Center for International China Studies. 50 scholars from both home and abroad exchanged their views on the recent development of overseas China studies, especially the Chinese governmental mode and its contemporary political practices. Professor Zhang made comments on the opening speeches. Pan and Sheng spoke respectively on the recent overseas scholarship on the implications of the Confucian tradition for democratization and the overseas study on Chinese politics from 2011 to 2013.
