CHU Yanhong, is assistant professor of the Institute of China Studies, SASS. She got her doctor's degree of history in East China Normal University in 2011. Her research field focuses on Overseas studies on Chinese history, theories on history and historiography, China's women history in America, etc. She has published her academic articles and translations on leading Chinese journals such as Questions on Historical Teaching, Exploration and Free Views, China Studies Review International, and so on. She is first translator of Chinese version of Chinese Medicine Men: Consumer Culture in China and Southeast Asia(Sherman Cochran, Harvard University Press, 2006), and translator of the Journals of Major Samuel Shaw(Josiah Quincy ed., WM.
