Dr. Zhu is a tenured professor of History at the History Department and Director of the Center for China Studies Abroad of East China Normal University, Vice President of Chinese Society for Historians of China’s Foreign Relations, Member of the Academic Panel of the Center for History Theory and Historiography at Beijing Normal University, Member of the Academic Panel of Shanghai World Forum on China Studies, and Chief Editor for China Studies Review International and China Studies Abroad Series. Dr. Zhu’s current research focuses on history theory and historiography and the history of China studies abroad. He has published several works such as China Studies in the United States of America, Benjamin I. Schwartz: An Academic Chronicle, Lv Zhenyu and His Historical Studies, and edited many academic works as American Scholars’ Research on China Studies in the USA, and Chinese Scholars’ Research on China Studies in the USA. Dr. Zhu also published nearly a hundred papers at home and abroad, and chaired many research programs under China National Social Sciences Foundation and Shanghai Municipal Social Sciences Foundation.
